Our facilities are known for their cutting edge technology. We are proud to house the only high speed treadmill, Keiser Air Runners, vibration platforms and Keiser Functional Trainers in Northern Michigan.

What kind of testing do you have to evaluate an athlete?

We use a variety of different tests including The Functional Movement Screen, Agility, Jump, and SportsMetrics Testing.

The Functional Movement Screen: Tests the athletes range of motion, strength, flexibility and balance. It is a great tool to identify areas of imbalance bilaterally as well as identify potential sources of reduced performance and injury.

Jump Testing: Tests both single and two legged jumps. We test jumping vertically as well as horizontally.

Agility Testing: Test the athlete's ability to move forward, laterally, and backwards as well as their ability to change directions while moving quickly.

SportsMetrics: Sportsmetrics is the first ACL injury prevention program scientifically proven to decrease serious knee ligament injuries in female athletes. Sportsmetrics utilizes jumping drills to teach the athlete to preposition the entire body safely when accelerating (jumping) or decelerating (landing). Training with Sportsmetrics reduces your risk of injury and enhances competitive athletic performance. Recently, FAST became a certified clinical site and has three certified instructors and now FAST is the ONLY facility in the area with this technology.
