Andrew Gorecki, DPT

Andrew Graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and then went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University. Throughout his studies Andrew focused on research involving running shoes and the changes that accumulated mileage have on the shoe. Andrew has had experience in various clinical settings including Spectrum Health Continuing Care Center in Grand Rapids, Bell Memorial Hospital in the Upper Peninsula, and Shoreline Sport and Spine Physical Therapy located in Spring Lake. These settings included various populations such as geriatrics, neuro, and orthopedics.

Andrew specializes in assessment and treatment of lower extremity biomechanical dysfunctions, running injuries and lower back/neck injuries. Andrew's rule of thumb is that the exercise is the assessment and the assessment is the exercise which allows him to create a rehabilitation program that is as close to the functional activity you are trying to return to as possible whether it is golf, baseball, running, or simply moving throughout your day without pain.

Andrew joined FAST Physical Therapy in July 2009 and works in our Traverse City location.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys learning new and innovative treatment techniques, running, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, and spending as much time outside as possible.
